How can I get more recycle bins for classrooms and offices? 
Contact Kathryn to request more bins.  We will send out what we have, and if you still need more, we will bring you 'Extra Recycling' stickers, which you can put on any box or container. You can reach Kathryn at davis-kathryn@aramark.com or 401-559-0238.


Who empties the classroom bins into the large totes? 
It is the responsibility of the custodians to empty the classroom and office bins into the large totes.  Some schools have decided to have their students or Green Team empty these totes, helping with recycling education and awareness. This decision is up to each school.  


What if there is trash in the bins?
If trash is being put in the recycling bins, they will be emptied into the trash. Custodians will not pick through bins to pull trash out. A good way to prevent students from putting trash in bins is to put a sign on the side of the bin that says something like "RECYCLING! NO TRASH" Something large and not easily missed.  Also, if you place your recycling bin right next to your trash can, there is less opportunity for contamination.
